HC Deb 09 December 1929 vol 233 c49W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Attorney-General who allocates the brokers to the Public Trustees Department when the co-trustees or beneficiaries do not indicate or suggest the brokers to deal with property?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL

The practice is governed by Section 11 (2) of the Public Trustee Act, 1906, but where neither the creator of the trust, the trustees nor the beneficiaries have expressed any wish on the subject the responsibility for the employment of the broker rests upon the Public Trustee.
