HC Deb 27 November 1928 vol 223 cc248-9W
Sir W. de FRECE

asked the President of the Board of Trade the percentage of British exports consigned to the Crown Colonies, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Ceylon, and the Irish Free State, and Russia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Dutch East Indies, China, Japan, United States of America, Brazil, Argentine, and Chile in 1913 and each of the last five years?

Mr. H. WILLIAMS

I am sending, to be placed in the Library, a series of reprints from the Board of Trade Journal giving the figures for which my hon. Friend asks, for the years 1913, 1924–7, and the first nine months of this year. Owing to the difficulty of making the necessary adjustment for 1923 in respect of our trade with the Irish Free State, the corresponding figures for that year have not been calculated.
