HC Deb 20 November 1928 vol 222 c1560W
Sir F. MEYER

asked the Postmaster-General what is the position of the negotiations between himself and the National Federation of Sub-Postmasters on the question of the proposed reduction of remuneration for allowance form work by 50 per cent.; and what reply he has returned to the request of the federation to refer the dispute to the Industrial Court?

Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

asked the Postmaster-General whether, seeing that a reduction of remuneration for sub-postmasters is proposed for the payment of Army and Navy allowances and pensions, which would mean a total reduction of about£120,000 over the whole class, he will be prepared to submit the question to the industrial court specially established to deal with questions of this kind?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

As I stated yesterday, I propose to refer the matter in dispute to the Industrial Court.
