Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe total sum advanced by local authorities in England and Wales under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Act between 1st January, 1919, and 30th September, 1928, was approximately £33,500,000. In addition to this, local authorities advanced about £18,100,000 under the somewhat similar provisions of Section 92 of the Housing
