asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether the site for the equestrian statue of Earl Haig has vet been decided; and, if not, what is the present position of the negotiations?

The Government, after very full consideration, have come to the conclusion that, on national grounds, the most suitable site for this statute is in the centre of Whitehall, between the Scottish Office and the Royal United Services Institution.
