HC Deb 21 May 1928 vol 217 c1524W
Mr. JOHNSTON

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that the district committee in Skye have declined to complete and make available for transport the committee road between the villages of Upper and Lower Breakish, Skye; and whether, seeing that the Land Court in 1927 declared that the road should be made available for the general purposes of a transport road and that this road is included among the objects for which the Board of Agriculture has given a grant of SO per cent., he will say what steps, if any, he proposes to take in the matter?

Sir J. GILMOUR

My attention has already been called to this case, but I am not in a position to take any action. I understand that the District Committee have hitherto been unable to proceed owing to local disagreements.
