§ Mr. MACLEANasked the Minister of Health whether he is prepared to introduce legislation to make it illegal for owners of property which has been condemned as unfit for human habitation to let or collect rent for such property?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe reletting of a dwelling house in respect of which a closing order is in force is prohibited by Section 12 of the Housing Act, 1925. It does not, therefore, appear to be necessary to introduce further legislation on the subject.
