HC Deb 26 March 1928 vol 215 cc816-7W
Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Home Secretary if his attention has been called to the third-degree methods by Scotland Yard detectives in the case of the widow of Harry Pace, in the Forest of Dean; if he is aware that the woman in question was interrogated by these officers for 13 hours and left Coleford police station in a state of collapse; and if he intends taking any action in the matter?

Sir V. HENDERSON

My right hon. Friend has ascertained the facts and will be happy to reply in due course to the hon. Member's question, but he does not think it would be proper for him to make any public statement until the matters now under judicial investigation have been finally disposed of.
