§ Lieut. - Colonel WINDSOR- CLIVEasked the Minister of Health how many schemes under the Housing (Rural Workers) Act he has approved, up to the present time, from each local authority in Shropshire?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have approved a scheme under the Act for each of the 17 rural districts in the county, and for five of the other 15 local authorities in the county. Up to the 31st December last, which is the date of the latest return, only five applications for grants had been received by the local authorities. Assistance had been promised in these cases and work had been commenced in four of them.
