1148Winfants and juniors, or (ii) two separate and parallel junior mixed departments, and some preference was indicated for the latter alternative as avoiding a double break in school life. In the light of further experience, however, the Board are inclined to regard the balance of advantage as being, in favour of separate infants and junior departments, provided that transfers are made regularly and systematically, and at an age sufficiently early to permit every child to spend at least three years in the junior department.
