§ Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLEasked the Minister of Health if any advice is given by his Department to local authorities as to their powers in the inspection of offices; and whether his attention has been called to any difficulties placed in the way of local authorities in making inspection?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI advise local authorities, on inquiry, that they have powers to undertake systematic inspection of offices as well as inspection on complaint. I have not had any instance brought to my notice where a local authority has been impeded in such inspection. I may add that few specific complaints have been brought to my notice of office conditions.
