§ Mr. SHEPHERDasked the Minister of Health whether he will inquire into the treatment of casuals at Cannock where three men last month were sentenced to seven days' imprisonment each for refusing to perform their tasks as their only means of protest against their treatment with regard to feeding and sleeping?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have made inquiries into this case and am satisfied that these men had no reasonable cause for complaint and were properly treated by the Poor Law officials of the Cannock institution.
