§ Colonel ASHLEYInformal discussions regarding such a project have taken place between officers of my Department and representatives of some of the local authorities concerned, but without definite result. I am fully prepared to encourage the study of the proposal by the parties concerned, with a view to the possible safeguarding of the route.
