§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSOver 96 per cent. of the meat bought in this country by the War Department is of Empire origin. This includes the requirements of the Royal Navy in the Mediterranean and also of the Royal Air Force. Foreign purchases are almost entirely of preserved meat.
