HC Deb 26 April 1928 vol 216 c1091W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Minister of Transport if he will investigate the overcrowding which takes place on the Underground Railway, particularly on the trains from Kennington to the City each morning and evening?

Colonel ASHLEY

I am informed by the Railway Company that every effort is being made to provide additional accommodation between Kennington and the City during the morning and evening rush hours, and that more than 100 new cars have been ordered for the Hampstead and City system, which, during the next few months, will enable increased accommodation to be provided.
