HC Deb 23 April 1928 vol 216 cc640-1W
Sir R. THOMAS

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has received any complaints that the existing arrangements for landing and shipping mail at Dar-es-Salaam are unsatisfactory and that the postal and telegraph work at Dar-es-Salaam and Tanga has to be carried out under conditions which are capable of improvement; and whether he will inquire into this?

Mr. AMERY

I have received no complaints about the existing arrangements at Dar-es-Salaam or Tanga. I have, however, under consideration some suggestions from the Governor for their improvement.
