HC Deb 05 April 1928 vol 215 cc2149-50W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether it is the intention of the Food Council to hold an inquiry into the prices charged for market garden produce; and, if so, what methods will be adopted by them to find out the reasons for the difference in retail shop prices and the prices paid to the growers?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I have just received a report on this subject, from the Food Council, which I propose to communicate to the Press.
