JOYNSON-HICKSThe provisional figures for the year ended 31st December last show that in that year the total expenses and profits of all the companies amounted to approximately 44 per cent, of their total income. The hon. Member must not, however, overlook the agreement between the Home Office and the Accident Offices Association, which is set out in Parliamentary Paper Cmd. 1891, and which, in the case of companies belonging to the Association, limits these charges to 40 per cent, of the premiums.
