HC Deb 22 November 1927 vol 210 c1622W
Sir A. HOLBROOK

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that registrars of births, marriages, and deaths are the only public servants who have not had any addition to their pre-War sources of revenue to enable them to meet the increased cost of living; and whether he will give consideration to their position and put them on a similar footing to other public servants as regards increase of pay?

Sir K. WOOD

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to my right hon. Friend's reply of the 18th instant to the hon. and gallant Member for Maidstone (Commander Bellairs).
