HC Deb 17 November 1927 vol 210 cc1142-3W
Mr. COUPER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether the removal of the Anglo-Scottish Union Treaty Ceremony picture from the panel in St. Stephen's Hall indicates a change of policy as to the choice of a subject more agreeable to Scottish national sentiment; and, if not, will fresh consideration be given to the question of selecting another subject for a picture?

Sir V. HENDERSON (for The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS)

The picture in question has been removed in order that it may be completed. There is no question of selecting another picture, as the choice of the present one has already been fully discussed in the House.
