HC Deb 15 November 1927 vol 210 cc835-6W
Mr. SHORT

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the desirability of providing a post office and telephone service on the Church Hill estate, Wednesbury, as the present lack of such facilities on the estate occasions great hardship to residents?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

According to my information, the Church Hill estate is adequately served by the existing post offices, and the provision of an additional office would not be warranted. As regards telephone service, I am informed that there are two street kiosks within half a mile of the estate and the establishment of additional public call office facilities would not be justified at present.
