HC Deb 09 November 1927 vol 210 c196W
Mr. T. P. O'CONNOR

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps, if any, were taken by His Majesty's Government to see that the terms of Article 10 of the Treaty between Great Britain and Ireland are carried into effect, and is he aware that there are 400 cases pending decision under this article; and whether he will approach the Free State Government with a view to setting up immediately a Commission to deal with the matter?

Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

I presume that my right hon. Friend is referring to the cases affected by the judgment of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in Wigg and Cochranev. the Attorney-General of the Irish Free State. I understand that the Free State Government have this question under their active consideration.
