§ Mr. GUINNESSIn accordance with the provisions of the British Sugar (Subsidy) Act, subsidy is paid to the manufacturers of home-grown beet sugar and molasses and not to beet growers. The total subsidy paid to manufacturers from 1st April, 1927, to 5th November, 1927, was £744,148 18s. 2d.
