§ Mr. RHYS DAVIES
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any progress has been made in connection with reciprocal arrangements between His Majesty's Government and the Governments of the Dominions in reference to the social insurance of emigrants?
§ Mr. AMERY
The possibility of reciprocal arrangements between the various parts of the Empire in regard to schemes of social insurance was considered by the Overseas Settlement Sub-Committee of 25W the Imperial Conference, 1926 (see pages 282–285 of Cmd. 2769). The matter is being taken up with His Majesty's Governments in the Dominions.
