HC Deb 12 May 1927 vol 206 cc588-9W
Mr. W. BAKER

asked the President of the Board of Education whether his attention has been called to cases in which parents persistently refuse to send children to school although proceedings are taken at regular intervals and the maximum fines inflicted; and whether, if the law provides no remedy, he will consider legislation?

Lord E. PERCY

The remedy provided by the law in such cases is that contained in Section 45 of the Education Act, 1921.
