§ Colonel CLIFTON BROWNasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the withdrawal of the joint adjutant from the Tynemouth and Durham. Heavy Brigades, Royal Artillery, Territorial Army, creates a position of great difficulty for the officers commanding these units; and whether, in view of the additional difficulty caused by the withdrawal of the Territorial Army bounty, he will cancel, or at least postpone, the proposed alterations in the adjutancy of these two units?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSI am aware of the facts of the case, and I have decided that the adjutant who at present acts for both the Durham Heavy Brigade and the Tynemouth Heavy Brigade shall be allotted solely to the former, and that a major on the district establishment of the Tyne and Tees defences shall act as adjutant of the latter. These arrangements will be reviewed in due course.
