asked the Minister of Health the total amounts advanced each year from 1919 onwards under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts in England and Wales; and the number of houses to which the loans applied?

In addition the London County Council, between 1st January, 1923, and 31st December, 1926, sanctioned or advanced over £2,800,000 under these Acts, and the Birmingham Corporation advanced during the same period under special powers over £1,760,000.
