HC Deb 24 March 1927 vol 204 cc595-6W
Mr. ROBINSON

asked the Minister of Health if he will consider the desirability and Wales during each year since 1919, and the number of houses in each year for which advances were made, but the following statement shows for each year the amounts of loans sanctioned by my Department to local authorities for the purpose of making advances under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Act and under Section 92 of the Housing Act, 1925, together with figures as to the total number of houses in respect of which advances have been made:

of establishing a national society for State insurance, so that deposit contributors may receive the same benefits in respect of their contributions as are received by members of approved societies?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The provision of the ordinary benefits of National Health Insurance on a basis of mutual insurance to deposit contributors who can show that they are unable, by reason of the state of their health, to obtain admission to an Approved Society, was included in the recommendations of the Royal Commission on National Health Insurance and is now under my consideration.
