§ Sir B. CHADWICKThe value of locomotives imported from the United Kingdom into Australia in the year ended 30th June, 1925, according to the Australian trade returns, was £104,888. The corresponding figure for the year ended 30th June, 1926, is not yet available. The figures for United Kingdom exports taken from the British returns show that the value of the exports of locomotives to Australia for the calendar year 1926 was £485,184, as compared with £116,281 for the previous 12 months.
