HC Deb 02 June 1927 vol 207 c561W
Sir W. de FRECE

asked the Secretary of State for War whether the Serbian medals awarded in 1922 to the British troops which participated in the retreat of 1915 have been distributed and, if so, to how many men; and, if this is not the case, whether he can give the reason for the delay?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

Of over 2,000 Serbian decorations and medals awarded to British troops, 1,600 have been distributed. The remainder have not yet been received from the Serbian authorities. I am unable to say how many of the decorations and medals actually distributed were awarded to British troops who participated in the retreat of 1915.
