asked the Minister of Labour if he can furnish an estimate of the number of persons insured against unemployment on 31st December, 1926, and, for comparison, the number on 31st December, 1925?

It is provisionally estimated that at 31st December, 1926, the number of persons (including those under special schemes) insured under the Unemployment Insurance Acts in Great Britain was approximately 11,824,000, the corresponding figure for 31st December, 1925, being 11,686,000.
