asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether his attention has been directed to the situation in Bernera, in the parish of Uig, owing to the recent change in the medical service and whether he will make inquiries with a view to improvement?

I am aware of the wishes of the people of Bernera in the matter of medical service for the Island. The Scottish Board of Health are at present in communication with the Parish Council of Uiv.r, in regard to a rearrangement of medical practices in the parish, and the views of the residents of Bernera will be bon e in mind.
