§ Mr. AMERYI would refer my hon. Friend to paragraph 17 of the Report of the Oversea Settlement Sub-Committee of the Imperial Conference, which shows that the limited field for white labour in South Africa precludes the Government of the Union of South Africa from co-operating in schemes of assisted migration on the lines which have been adopted in other Dominions.
