§ The ATTORNEY-GENERALNo, Sir. Certain branches of the Criminal Law Have been codified in recent years, and it may be possible by proceeding gradually to make further progress in that direction. I have consulted my Noble Friend the Lord Chancellor upon the suggestion contained in this question, and I concur in his view that the appointment of a Royal Commission would not be likely to produce any useful result.
