asked the Minister of Health if he has any statistics which show the number of cases in which children's allowances under the Widows', Orphans' and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act are being paid to children over the age of 14 who are remaining at school?

On the latest figures available for England, Scotland and Wales children's allowances or orphans' pensions are being paid in respect of 13,424 children who have remained at school after reaching the age of 14.
