§ Colonel ASHLEYI am unable to furnish the hon. Member with the information desired as to the expenditure by local authorities, but a summary of expenditure out of the Road Fund will be found on page 34 of the Report on the Road Fund for the year 1926–27. The total expenditure of local authorities on the maintenance, improvement, cleansing and construction of highways, bridges and ferries is given up to the year 1924–25 (the last year for which returns 597W are available) in Appendix 13 to the Annual Report on the Administration of the Road Fund for the year 1926–27.
