HC Deb 21 December 1927 vol 212 cc419-20W

asked the Minister of Health whether any and, if so, what alterations have been made or are proposed in the arrangements described in his answers on 8th and 18th February, 1926, 29th July, 1926, and 11th November, 1926, for the hearing of appeals by applicants whose claims to pensions by virtue of the Widows', Orphans' and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act, 1925, are rejected by the Minister; whether the proposed précis of the more important cases decided on appeal has yet been published; and, if not, when it is likely to be published?

As regards the first part of the question, there has been a temporary increase in the number of referees, but, apart from this, no alteration has been made or is proposed in the arrangements for the hearing of appeals under the Contributory Pensions Act, 1925; as regards the second and third parts, the précis referred to, "Précis of Decisions on Appeals," has been on sale since November.
