§ Major AINSWORTHasked the Minister of Health whether, in the interests of children, he will consider the desirability of making further restrictions on the importation and sale of such articles as skimmed condensed milk, powdered milk, and liquid eggs, as the 1598W majority of purchasers do not understand the low food values of these commodities?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI am advised that there is no foundation for the suggestion that the commodities referred to are of low food value, although skimmed milk is unfit for infant feeding, and I could not on public health grounds take steps to prohibit their importation into this country.
