HC Deb 07 December 1927 vol 211 cc1390-1W
Mr. WESTWOOD

asked the Minister of Health if he is prepared to grant the same concession, under the Public Health (Preservatives in Food) Regulations, for the use of sulphur in the milling of barley as have been granted to the cornflour millers for the manufacture of cornflour?

Sir K. WOOD

According to the information before my right hon. Friend, there is not the same case for the use of sulphur dioxide in barley as there is in cornflour. Arrangements have, however, been made for the reception of a further deputation of barley millers, and any further representations which they may make will be carefully considered.
