HC Deb 06 December 1927 vol 211 c1194W
Colonel DAY

asked the Minister of Health the number of cases of small-pox that have been reported in the Lincoln area during the last three months; and whether any special arrangements have been made in this area to prevent the isolation hospital becoming overcrowded?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The number of cases of small-pox notified in the City of Lincoln during the three months ended the 26th November was 33. As regards the second part of the question, I am informed that, with the view of preventing overcrowding of the small-pox hospital, a ward block at the isolation hospital, separated from the remainder of the hospital by means of a fence, is being used for the treatment of smallpox patients.
