Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONOur relations with Persia are friendly, but there are several questions outstanding between us which it would be desirable to get settled in the interests of both countries and of the friendly atmosphere which we desire to maintain. The note to which the hon. Member refers was in reply to an inquiry by the Persian Government as to the attitude of His Majesty's Government towards certain proposed tariff changes, and it dealt with some of the matters to which I have referred.
