§ Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAMI am aware that Mrs. Bentley has complained of damage to her property by concussion from gunfire at Shoeburyness, hut I have been unable to accept the suggestion that the damage is attributable to the firing of naval guns, or to authorise any compensation out of naval funds.
