§ Sir S. HOAREThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. Some informal discussions with the French authorities in regard to a possible seaplane service between England and France took place in 1922, but they did not reach the stage of concrete proposals or formal application to the French Government. As regards the second part of the question, I cannot answer for Imperial Airways, but I have no doubt that they constantly review the possibility of developments such as this.
