Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe number of houses in England and Wales authorised on 31st January last under the Act of 1923 was 256,588, and under the Act of 1924, 106,090, the capitalised value of the subsidies payable by the Government if the houses are duly completed being £ 19,244,100 and £ 16,408,587 respectively.
