HC Deb 11 March 1926 vol 192 c2627W
Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether the Committee of Investigation into the rates of pay of the medical services of the Navy and the Army and of the new medical service of the Air Force will be allowed to investigate the proposal for a unified medical service for all the fighting forces?

The Report of the Weir Committee of 1923 on the amalgamation of services common to the Navy, Army and Air Force, and the consequential conclusions of the Government as explained to the House on the 30th May, 1923, in answer to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Leith (Captain Benn), have been made available to the Committee. I am not in a position to anticipate the nature of the Committee's Report.
