HC Deb 11 March 1926 vol 192 c2610W
Colonel DAY

asked the Secretary of State for War the number and amount of claims made by farmers and stock breeders under the Training and Manœuvre Regulations, 1923, during last year's Army manœuvres, together with the amount, if any, claimed by local authorities in respect of damage to roads; and whether any outstanding claims yet remain?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

There were 1,255 claims by farmers and stock breeders. The total amount of the claims cannot readily be given, but the amount paid in respect of them was £5,300. The amount claimed by local authorities for damage to roads was £1,344. There are no claims outstanding under these heads, although there are claims under other heads.
