asked the Minister of Transport if he will give figures showing the increase in coal traffic recorded by the chief railways of the United Kingdom from August until December, 1925, compared with the corresponding period of 1924?

The tonnages of coal, coke and patent fuel originating on the systems of the four principal railway companies in Great Britain during each of the six months in the latter half of 1925 and during the corresponding months of 1924 were as follow:
