asked the Minister of Agriculture what has been the amount of land annually brought within the area of drainage authorities since the passing of the Land Drainage Act, 1918?

Mr. GUINNESS

The Land Drainage Act, 1918, received Royal Assent on 30th July, 1918. The total acreage brought within the area of drainage authorities annually since that date either by the creation of new drainage districts or by extension of the districts of existing drainage authorities is as follows:
