During the 11 months ended May, the British subjects recorded as leaving permanent residence in Great Britain and Northern Ireland to take up permanent residence in the United States numbered 27,227, and those recorded as leaving permanent residence in the United States to take up permanent residence in Great Britain and Northern Ireland numbered 6,317. The official quota of British immigrants from Great Britain and Northern Ireland to be admitted into the United States during the year commencing 1st July, 1926, is 34,007.
