§ Colonel DAYasked the Minister of Transport if his attention has been drawn to the death of George Basil Joslin, of East Grinstead, who succumbed to injuries received whilst motor-cycling at Buxted, being accompanied by a 16-stone passenger on the rear carrier of the machine; and will he consider legislation with a view to adequately dealing - with such form of pillion riding?
§ Colonel ASHLEYMy attention had riot previously been drawn to the accident in question. On the general information which is before me, I do not consider that a case has been made out to justify the introduction of legislation prohibiting pillion riding.
